Anwesha Ghosh was born on 20th April 1990 at Labpur, Birbhum. Her Father’s name is Sri Samar Ketan Ghosh and Mother is Smt. Anjali Ghosh. After completion of her Higher School Studies, she further studied Bachelor as well as Masters in Drama and Theatre ARTs from Viswa Bharati University, and after that she also completed M.Phil from the same university in “Bangla Natoke Loco Sanskritir Probhab”.Anwesha Ghosh is a founder member of Birbhum Sanskriti Bahini.

In her child hood, she was introduced in the Tarasankar Sob Peyechir Asor for the children of up to class X to practice cultural activities and learn the basics of the theatre. Out of several Theatre is acted as an lead, two of them i.e. Nagini Kanyar Kahini and Najor, specially scripted to publicise the culture of Tribal Population, She acted as the lead role of ‘Pingala’ in Kanyar Kahini and ‘Fulmoni’ in Najor. She was awarded Best Actress for both the characters from different organizations. She played ‘Amba’ Character in Mukto Dhara Drama of Rabindranath Tagore while she was studying in Viswa Bharati University. She is also associated with All India Radio, Akash Bani Kolkata as an theatre artist.
